On May 18, 2010, American Laszlo Heinitz offered 10,000 BTC (about $ 40 at the time) to a specialized forum for Bitcointalk blockchain enthusiasts to bring him two large pizzas.
Laszlo did not receive any offers for the next few days, but then a gentleman named Jeremy Sturdwent responded to the announcement. He ordered two large pizzas at Papa John’s Pizzeria in exchange for the above amount in bitcoins. The transaction happened on May 22 and went viral in bitcoin history.
Today, these two pizzas would cost $ 600 million. But the protagonist of this story says he has no regrets.
