Silk Road sleuths launch a cryptocurrency tracking firm

In 2013, Chris Tarbell led an FBI investigation that helped identify and arrest Ross Ulbricht, the mastermind of the online drug and weapons marketplace Silk Road. The investigation involved tracing and seizing huge amounts of cryptocurrencies, now worth billions of dollars.

Tarbell and cryptographer Matt Edman, who also participated in the FBI investigation, have launched a company called Naxo that helps law enforcement, law firms, and others find missing cryptocurrency.

Naxo differs from other firms in that it is not only able to track the movement of funds through blockchains, but also offers a service for customers to get cryptocurrency back. The company’s clients are federal agencies such as the Department of Justice and law firms.

So, you can make a fortune not only by owning cryptocurrency or stealing digital assets but also by tracking fraudsters who do it.
