That is what Michael Miebach, the CEO of the payment giant Mastercard, was asked in an interview for Yahoo Finance. He answered, “Entirely possible, but I think it’s a long way to go before crypto becomes mainstream.”
There are certain obstacles to the adoption of cryptocurrency, including regulations, as well as simplicity and ease of use. But Mastercard users want to use crypto and the company aims to provide that.
Mastercard wants to make cryptocurrency payments as easy and secure as any other payment so that users can buy and pay with cryptocurrencies with the card and have the ability to cancel the payment, said Miebach.
